The Education Knowledge Broker Network is seeking new members to join its Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2025. Candidates from across education ecosystem - including schools, universities, nonprofits, research institutes, foundations, state and local education agencies, policy organizations, and community-based organizations - are encouraged to apply. We especially welcome applicants from under-represented backgrounds and those whose work spans boundaries between research, practice, and policy.
Given the current composition of the Board, the Nominating Committee is particularly interested in candidates with experience or knowledge in:
- Fundraising and non-profit development
- Strategic communications and marketing
- Policy and advocacy
- Network leadership and community building
- Finance or nonprofit governance
- Education across K-12, higher ed, or community settings
The committee is also committed to building a board that reflects diverse geographic regions, lived experiences, and institutional perspectives.

KB Connections will be meeting virtually on the 3rd Tuesday of every month to support those who have been affected by job loss and those who are seeking careers related to knowledge brokering. This is an opportunity to build community, learn about careers in knowledge brokering, share your interests with others, and seek feedback and ideas on your career transition.
